What began as a summer job to finance Robert Byrne’s education has grown into the largest commercial asphalt paving contractor in St. Louis. In 1976, Bob started sealing driveways and steadily grew the business each summer until he graduated from college. He then decided to devote all his resources and energy to growing the business and doing it the right way – by working to assure the satisfaction of each and every client.
Residential paving jobs soon shifted to commercial projects for property managers, churches, private schools and apartment complexes. That led to expansion into site construction where they acted as a turn-key contractor for all things asphalt and concrete.

Today, Byrne & Jones Construction of companies now includes several divisions and owned subsidiaries that focus on asphalt, concrete, sports, and micro-surfacing. Basically everything outside of the building, Byrne & Jones Construction can handle.
